Here on Long Beach Island, we are surrounded by a fantastic community. Things aren't perfect, but the harder we all work, the better our Island and Mainland will be for raising families, working, running our businesses, fun gatherings, and enjoying everything this area has to offer.

At the Ann Coen Gallery, we are very committed to the community. Ann is the President of the Jetty Rock Foundation, the 501(c)3 that grew out of Jetty's amazing efforts following Superstorm Sandy. And in addition to volunteering and supporting local organizations, this summer we have sponsored a bunch of events that are very close to our hearts. These have included the Hop Sauce Festival in May, the Island Surf and Sail Ladies Paddle Challenge which raised money for Piece of the Puzzle, and the Jetty Coquina Jam  which made a huge donation to David's Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation this week. We have also sponsored the Alliance for A Living Ocean LBI Longboard Classic, which is set for August 23. In addition, Ann Coen Photography supports the Surf City Ladies Auxiliary, PBS, and the local VFW.

This Friday night is the 2nd Annual Island Gala & Casino Night at the Sea Shell in Beach Haven, which will benefit David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation. David Caldarella is a Stage IV cancer survivor who has devoted his life to helping local families struggling with the cost of battling cancer, an inspiration in every sense. Ann has donated a 60x40 print of "Snow Owl," to the auction. Be sure to check it out. And a huge thank you to the inspiring organizations that make our community what it is.
